Home Run Empire — Privacy Policy

Home Run Empire (“HRE,” “the App,” “we”) is a single-player college baseball simulation made by Finn Keating. This policy explains what data the App handles and what it does not. The short version: HRE doesn’t collect personal information about you, doesn’t require an account, and stores your save data only on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, locations, contacts, or any other personal identifiers.
• We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
• We do not run analytics SDKs or behavioral tracking.
• We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties for advertising or any other purpose.

Save Data

All game state — your dynasty, rosters, settings, history — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard Filesystem and local storage APIs. Save data never leaves your device unless you back it up yourself (e.g., via iCloud device backup, which is governed by Apple’s policies, not ours).

In-App Purchases

HRE offers two optional one-time purchases (currently Remove Ads and God Mode). When you make a purchase, Apple’s App Store handles the transaction, processes payment, and verifies the receipt. We never see your payment information. The App only receives a confirmation from Apple that the purchase succeeded, which is used to unlock the corresponding feature on your device.

Advertising

Until you purchase “Remove Ads,” HRE displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising Identifier / IDFA when you’ve permitted it via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt), approximate device information, and ad interaction data in order to deliver and measure ads. AdMob’s use of this data is governed by Google’s privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can decline tracking at the system level via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

Push Notifications

If you allow push notifications, the App uses Apple’s Push Notification service to deliver alerts you’ve opted into (e.g., your team’s next game, signing day reveals). Notification delivery is handled by Apple. We do not maintain a server-side mailing list or push to users we haven’t been asked to push to.

Network Activity

HRE is largely offline. The only outbound network calls the App makes are:

• App Store / StoreKit — for in-app purchase verification.
• Apple Push Notification service — for receiving notifications you opted into.
• Google AdMob — for serving ads (only when Remove Ads is not purchased).
• Pastebin Custom Roster fetch — only when you, the user, explicitly paste a Pastebin URL to import a custom roster. To work around browser CORS restrictions, the App may relay that URL through a public proxy (r.jina.ai or corsproxy.io). The App sends only the URL you provided. We do not retain or log this activity.

Children

HRE is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy materially changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and will take effect the next time you update the App. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the current revision.
